THE STORK'S ARRVED

"Now everyone, could you quiet down please.

  Lucy put down the ruler

  stop hitting Simon's knees."

"I'm sure his reflexes are fine.

 I know your Dad's a doctor

up to him to spot the signs."

"O.K., we're going to look at relationships

brothers and sisters, parents and children.

  Lucy stop poking his hip

wouldn't be 'owwing', if he was dead!"

"Now, when your Mum and Dad met

they got to know each other

 fall in love."

"Yes, sometimes get into debt.

While that's an interesting point, Ann

your Mum being under a clothes ban

we can discuss on another day."

"I remember your parents are divorced, Rachel.

I'm sure your Dad didn't mean

he would really kill this man, Bill."

"I think we'll leave this topic today

before someone says their Mum is gay.

 Put your hand down, Rodney."

ALWAYS TOMORROW

A sloppy, wet kiss

forces consciousness.

I open my eyes slowly

no enlightenment today.

The cat needs feeding.

DIVERSITY

I used to work in a hospital

don't worry there is a point.

In a unit that dealt with amputees

 missing arms, hands, legs

 all of which I'd see.

'Can I give you a hand?'

 to an upper limb amputee.

'Would you like to take a seat?'

 to a wheelchair user.

 Foot and mouth

 that was often me.

Despite this most of them were pleasant

 some were very friendly.

 A few I couldn't stand at all

just like any group we meet.

 Fewer preconceptions to damage goodwill.
